BOB'S FIRST FALL

Bob has been so weak since he came home from skilled nursing 6 weeks ago.

I did not realize that the reason he was so off balance and he was so hard to get out of a chair was just that: he was so weak.

Today, he fell on his stomach. He could not even turn over on to his back. I could not get him to sit up.

I could not get him up on one knee. I could not get him up on his feet. My stomach ached with tension.

After about an hour and a half of frustration on both of our parts, I finally called 911. It took 4 firemen to get him up.
